Reviews

We have been users of Briscoe’s service for many years. Their service technician was efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly to interact with. He explained the problem he had corrected in terms we could understand. I would certainly recommend Briscoe Protective to friends and family!

SCAN has been very responsive to my requests particularly during a period I was doing remodeling and had construction people going in and out of my house regularly. SCAN is easy to get in touch with and it is a pleasure to deal with knowledgeable people.

Had switched to their service at my shop Sign Factory. These guys are super nice, extremely helpful and very easy to deal with! Could not be happier!!!

Living outside the state of New York has been possible because of the outstanding service and reliability of Scan. The remote access and guard service are why I have been a loyal customer for 10 years.

Worst customer service. With no authorization or notice, they changed my service plan and increased the pricing almost 50%. When asked how this could happen, their response is that they are "allowed" to raise their prices as much as they want at any time. I am sure these people would not respond the same way if their cable company or cell phone provider did that.

I had been a Bellringer customer for years before their purchase by Briscoe. This new company is terrible. They try to bait and switch customers with lower pricer if you sign a long term contract that locks you into ridiculous price increases, unless you cancel your contract by certified mail. What other service oriented businesses ask you to send cancellation notice by certified mail! They are not ethical and have terrible customer service.

Since Bellringer was purchased by Briscoe. Terrible service, when it’s needed most. Defective fire alarm initiated a fire dept dispatch. 24 hours later I can’t get a return call to schedule a service call. Though they will temporarily pause the alarm to dispatch, it still goes off in the house. Reception when I called was disinterested and wasn’t even able to get their service to respond. Switching to a locally owned company that is focused on the community they serve

Scan Security was bought by Briscoe several years ago. Since then it has been a series of price increases and decreased service. For example, it's taken 2 months to repair a problem and it's still not solved. No one returns calls after having left 6 voicemail messages over a 2 week period. I'm starting to search for a new company. I can't believe another company could be worse and they might even be cheaper.

Long term customer of Bellringer, now Briscoe and very disappointed with current system. Online access to my account is easy (pops right up using my mobile #) but is only designed for billing and collection. There are multiple other associated sites, "alarm.com", "central station", and "myalarmstatus.com", no clear links between them, each with a different login/password and none of the usual basic features like forgot username, forgot password etc. Phone reps unable to address any of the above. Please get an IT consultant to straighten this mess out!!

All the stars go to a person by the name of Tammy. I always thought she was part owner. There would be no reason to have stayed with Briscoe for this long if not for her, she resolves issue, starting from alarm settings, to receiving wrong certificates, to upgrading the system. She is a the real deal in customer service.
